Description

AI is too dumb to stay alive right now, as it fires at every reachable target around - no matter what is going around (it has no RoE beyond weapon config at all).

For example, have an infantry fireteam lying in grass. It starts shooting at dismounted mechanized troops on first sight and gets slaughtered by unbeatable BMP-2 that follows infantry, hence it was discovered much earlier.

In real life, infantryman will keep low and quiet, observe what enemy does, estimate threat they pose, calculate own vs. enemy strength and check if he can beat all potential threats around /wait until they're in effective range or pass away if not beatable/. This way he decides if it is worth to engage - unless ordered to shoot at sight or becomes detected /it should affect all team members in formation, so it unleashes its firepower wisely/.

zGuba you are absolutely right on this.

Additionally AI seem not to care whether it is going to aim at teammate while firing in bursts, certainly breaking real life RoE.

This video explains this :)

fabrizio_T is preparing script that overcomes AI stupidity.

Got to ask BI devs question: is AI self caring too difficult to code with C++?
